The initiative to form Mu Iota Chapter was spearheaded by four visionary brothers from the Beta chapter at Lincoln University in Pennsylvania. These men—John White, Allen Wright, George Carter, and Brother Peters—recognized the need for a forum where Omega Men in the Columbus area could congregate for fellowship, intellectual exchange, and collective action. Their pioneering efforts laid the groundwork for what would become a vital organ in the body of Omega Psi Phi and the wider Columbus community.

 

In the nascent stages of Mu Iota's history, the chapter's call to uphold and advance the Omega tradition resonated deeply within the Columbus area, attracting at least 30 men to join the founders in their noble quest.
